- Skoda is going to globally reveal the facelift version of Kodiaq SUV on April 13.
- Ahead of that, there are some intruding design sketches of the facelift unveiled by manufactures.
- The biggest update will come in the form of a 190PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.
- It will compete with the facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace, Mahindra Alturas, Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster.
The 2021 Skoda Kodiaq facelift is all set to globally come out in spotlight on April 13, 2021. Ahead of its debut, the C’Zech carmaker has shared its design sketched. The Kodiaq is the flagship model in Skoda’s range in India and has been on sale since 2017. There has been subtle changes to the front and rear end as per the new and modified design. Moreover, it is also expected to be offered with some new features on the inside like wireless charging and connected car tech along with a minor technical update.
As per the designs the LED units have been modified to be slimmer than the ones in the pre-facelift model. On the other hand, the pre-facelift car though, the fog lights in the 2021 model year Kodiaq sit below the main lights to form a four-eyed face.
In addition, the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq facelift design sketches also reveal a redesigned bonnet and a more upright, hexagonal Skoda grille featuring double slats.
The front bumper of the Kodiaq facelift has also been revised. The wider air dam has inverted L-shaped elements on either end and aluminium inserts too.
Tail lamps are the other changes that are made in the updated version of new 2021 Kodiaq . According to the design sketches, the new sharp taillights like the headlamps have been slimmed-down a bit. Here, the brand’s crystalline structures are present and Skoda’s C-shape design is much more flatter now.
According to the carmaker, in India, the 2021 Kodiaq facelift will be launched towards the second half of this year. When it does get launched, the SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol motor that will be mated to a 7-speed DCT.
